  • Ranked as the third No. 3 nationally for rural communities, Pennsylvania is focused on expanding rural broadband coverage.  PennLive published an article explaining the improvements made thus far in deploying broadband, and the necessity for future development.

In 2004, Gov. Ed Rendell signed Act 183 , which calls for broadband coverage across the entire state by 2015.  As Pennsylvania moves closer to making broadband available to each of its citizens, the state will host the 2010 Pennsylvania Broadband Summit on September 20-21st 2010.
