Under the forward thinking leadership of the Florida General Assembly and Governor Crist, the state legislature passed the “Consumer Choice and Protection Act,” which was approved and signed by the Governor in 2009. The Consumer Choice and Protection Act, or SB 2626/HB1465, took the necessary steps forward to update telecommunications laws in Florida and benefits Florida consumers and the economy by increasing competition in the marketplace.
