Earlier this week we blogged about the use of social media as it pertained to the President’s State of the Union Address. In keeping up with his digital style, the President will sponsor a social media fueled discussion using Google+ and YouTube in the coming days.
According to an article from Time, the President will be fielding questions “in the first completely-virtual interview from the White House” to be held on Monday, January 30 at 5:30 PM EST. Your Interview with President Obama, is an event where “average Joes” will be able to submit questions to the President to answer in a Google+ meet up that will be live streamed on YouTube.
Can’t picture what that might look like? Imagine the “Fire Side Chats” from the days of FDR. Now add a video camera, real time interaction between constituents and the President, and about a million more people. Now you’re getting it! Does this sound interesting to you? Be sure to submit your questions on YouTube by January 28, if you wish to participate!
